Vessels have been a metaphor for myself much of my life. Utilitarian, how useful can I or a vessel be? What can i hold? What kind of a vessel do i need to be to be useful? Do the contents of a vessel spill over? Should it be smaller or bigger? How do we contain "stuff" within the boundaries of a vessel, a bowl, a container, ourselves? In our very material world we carry STUFF with us. These days, each morning i find myself choosing just the right backpack or satchel to carry my needed stuff into the day's activities. How big a container begs the question: How much stuff do i need?
